Celebrating 20 Years of En Route International

En Route is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved in this time.

From a humble start-up in 2002 providing premium bakery solutions to airlines to a global food service partner to many of the world’s most recognised airlines and airline catering organisations, our growth is down to our incredible team and our partners who continue to trust us to deliver world-class food solutions and solve their complex operational issues.

We thought the occasion would be a great excuse to look back over some of our biggest achievements, milestones and most prized memories. From new partnerships, new faces and new opportunities, there’s been a lot to smile about over the years…

 

A brief history of En Route

2002 – En Route was established in the UK to supply premium bakery solutions to airlines

2003 – Our UK logistics and packaging operations was established

2005 – Launch of distribution base in Dubai

2007 – UK packing and distribution was set up

2008 – Our sales, distribution and packing hub opened in North America

2012 – dnata acquired a majority stake

2014 – We launched our first and business class cheese programme with Emirates, and opened a new office in Australia

2015 – En Route moved into its UK HQ in Windsor

2019 – Launch of Four the Future sustainability initiative

2021 – Nick Wiley joins En Route as new managing director

2022 – En Route celebrates 20 years

As we enter a new period for the business, we continue to pride ourselves on our world-class ability to create consistently high-quality food and inventive packaging & service solutions supported by our intelligent, global supply chain operations. And with the proven ability to consistently deliver new and exciting food solutions across a global network to all airline hubs, we look forward to working with you in the future too.
